This year, Mother’s Day hits a little differently because I am counting it as my first one as a mom. Last year my baby was less than a month old and I didn’t feel like the mom I am today with the experience of a year under my belt. This past year has been the most incredible, loving, exhausting, beautiful, and meaningful year I’ve ever lived.
Now that I’m on the other side of those sweet Mother’s Day cards, I truly get how important the acknowledgment of everything you do means. Moms deserve to be celebrated big time. I put together this gift guide with all the things I’d personally love to receive, plus a few gems I’ve already discovered and swear by. Whether you’re shopping for your own mom, a fellow new mom, or even dropping hints for yourself (no shame!), I hope these picks inspire you!

1. Accessories
You truly cannot go wrong with any gift for mom but accessories are such a fun item to both give and receive as a gift. As a mom tote bags to carry all of our kids random diapers, toys, and snacks are a must. Cute hats and hair accessories to help hide our lack of time to fully get ready. Easy but stylish sneakers or sandals that can slip on and off when we are running out the door everyday. Sentimental jewelry that displays our babies names, birthstones or initials. Or something as simple as a nice new card case filled with gift cards to our favorite places.

4. Hobbies
Does your mom love to garden, knit, workout, or scrapbook? A gift geared towards her hobby would be perfect!

5. Relaxation
Ah, relaxation – something that comes only after bedtime these days. Giving the gift of relaxation is giving the gift of a recharge and sanity. Relaxation can mean different things to different people so really personalize this to how your mom likes to spend her time. Does she wind down with a bath and glass of wind? a bath caddy and new wine glasses would be perfect. Is she an iPad kid at heart? We have the pillow pad and my husband uses it every night before bed to watch shows and YouTube videos.
