Easy 4th of July Craft With Your Baby

Disclaimer: I’d like to address the elephant in the room, I am terrible at painting. So while I love to be crafty, I don’t let my painting abilities hold me back lol. (It’s the sweet memories and effort that counts!) For my baby’s first 4th of July, he was only 2 months old. There’s not much for a 2-month-old to do on the 4th so what better time than do a quick craft for fun?

Supplies:
  • Foam Brush or Paint Brush
  • Washable Non-Toxic Paint
  • White paper
  • Pen or Marker
Extra:
  • Instax camera
Let’s Get Crafting!

Step 1: Paint your Flag (hopefully better than mine). Paint a blue box in the top left corner but leave the stars off as your baby’s foot will act as the stars. Next paint the red stripes.

Step 2: Paint the bottom of your baby’s foot with white paint (washable and non-toxic)

Step 3: Carefully place your baby’s foot onto the blue section of the flag

Step 4: Use your pen or marker to write “baby’s name – 1st 4th of July” and write the date

Step 5: Take a photo of your baby with their new flag, it’s extra sweet to capture with an instax and hang on your refrigerator or gift to Grandma & Grandpa

While this was a simple craft, I hope it sparked and idea for a fun activity to do with your spouse and baby.

Happy 4th of July!
